This is such a terrific series for 9ish and up. Each book builds on the last; the characters are really engaging (with very real faults, making them relatable); and explores themes of friendship, honor, & self confidence. Plus there isn’t a lot of unnecessary violence. Also highly recommended for adults looking for a fantasy series that features books that have less than 500 pages each for criminy sakes!
